Augustus Cambrils Hotel is a three star hotel located on the border of Salou, a 9 km walk from the centre of Cambrils. It should not be confused with Cesar Augustus hotel, that sits directly over the road from it. It has an outdoor kidney-shaped pool that looks directly out onto the beach. It is a hotel that is only open for the summer season. It is double the size of its neighbouring Cesar Augustus and has facilities to match - including an internet area and a games room.

Augustus Cambrils Hotel has an outdoor swimming pool that is open to all customers - it is unheated. Located next to the pool there is a jacuzzi with seating areas in it.
The hotel contains no fitness area.
There is a bar in the hotel located on the ground floor, next to the pool area. The bar serves both soft and alcoholic drinks. It also offers sandwiches and snack food. The pool is surrounded by sun loungers that allow you to sit at the poolside enjoying views of the ocean.

There are a total of 324 rooms in the hotel. All rooms are doubles. In some of the rooms, it is possible to pay extra (ask the hotel directly for more details) to add an extra bed to the room that sleeps up to two people. All rooms offer a satellite television, hairdryer, range of toiletries and air conditioning (however air conditioning availability is limited).
A large majority of the rooms have balconies, and there are a select few that offer views directly to the beachfront. It is worth asking for one of these rooms when making a booking.

Augustus Cambrils Hotel is located just outside Salou. It sits nearly 9 km from the centre of Cambrils - the port. For information on what is available in Salou, it is best to check our Guide to Salou. If you do wish to head into Cambrils, at the end of the 9 km road, you will find its port area. This area is very affluent and contains upmarket restaurant and shopping opportunities.
The long road - Avenida Diputacio, that links Cambrils to Salou, is awash with a large choice of bars, clubs and restaurants. There are a large amount of choices here. But do bear in mind that, like the hotel, many of these are only open during the high season, therefore, if you are staying at a tail end of the season, these may not all be open.
The beach is visible from the balconies of the hotel and is directly in front of the hotel.
How to get there from Cambrils train station:
Via Taxi: The hotel is a 20 minute taxi ride from Cambrils train station. Alternatively, if you get off the train at Salou station, the hotel is a 10 minute taxi journey away.
By Foot: The hotel is a 40 minute walk from Cambrils train station. You are unlikely to wish to walk if you are travelling with luggage.

Hotel Augustus Cambrils is a slightly less modern hotel than its over-the-road counterpart. However, what it has in its favour is a view that allows it to directly overlook the beach. It is also double the size of the Cesar Augustus, offering more hustle-bustle and a wider range of activities, including a games room and an internet corner. The hotel could prove to be ideal if you are looking for a relaxing holiday away in which you plan to walk no further than to the beach. However, if you want to experience some of Cambrils life, you may wish to find a hotel closer to the centre.
