Cambrils could prove to be a wonderful holiday option if you are hoping to spend a bit of time on the golf course. Located within 20 kilometres of Cambrils you have the choice of a grand total of six golf clubs - three of which are located in the grounds of Port Aventura.

Club de Golf de Bonmont Terres Noves

This club is located in Montroid del Camp, 10 km outside of Cambrils. It belongs to the well-known chain - Bonmont. It is an 18 hole course with a par 72. The course first opened in 1990 and has played host on two occasions to the Catalan Open-Volvo Tour. It was designed by Robert Trent Jones Junior. It is characteristically hilly and it offers views of the low mountains, the sea and plant life in the region.

Club de Golf de Reus Aiguesverds

This club is located just outside the city of Reus, 12 km from Cambrils. It is part of an estate where the roads are lined with olive and almond trees. The whole of the golf course is reasonably flat, ensuring that it allows for a relaxing day out. The club house is located inside a refurbished country estate. There is also a driving range with outdoor lighting, incase you fancy a spot of late night practice.

Club de Golf Costa Dorada

This club is located 20 km outside of Cambrils and was the first golf club in the Tarragona region. It opened in 1981 and is 55 hectares. It is integrated into a valley and it's paths are lined with pine trees, olive trees, willows and even palm trees. It prides itself on offering views of the Mediterranean. If you fancy bringing along the whole family, there is a swimming pool, creche service, restaurant and play area on site. The club house is set on a hill and offers traditional Catalan architecture.

Port Aventura Golf

There are three golf courses located within the grounds of the Port Aventura theme park - the North Course, Centre Course and South Course. This could offer the perfect answer to a family day out - you can enjoy a round of golf whilst the kids hit the theme park or the water park.

The North Course at Port Aventura

This course was designed by the one and only, Mr Greg Norman! It is an 18 hole course that is considered to be a challenge for golfers. It is located within the wetlands of the region. The North Course club house is a modern building offering a restaurant, a sauna, a driving range, a golf school, a snack bar and dressing rooms.

The Centre Course at Port Aventura

It is a smaller course - 9 holes and par 34. This course was also designed by Greg Norman. It takes pride in having maintained the Mediterranean landscape of its surroundings. It is situated on the highest point of the resort. It is located between the North and South golf course, meaning that it can be combined with rounds played on these courses. The course does not have its own clubhouse.

The South Course at Port Aventura

This 18 hole golf course offers views of the sea beyond a skyline of white pine trees. Quarries around the golf course give a sense that you are in very natural surroundings. Of the three courses this is the one that is used by professional competitors. It is the longest of all the three courses.

The South Course club house offers views over the entire eighteen holes of the course. The facilities on offer include a restaurant, a sauna, a driving range, a golf school, a snack bar and dressing rooms.

Port Aventura Golf

The Port Aventura company do not provide an address for the golf clubs. However, to reach them you will need to head to the main entrance for cars to Port Aventura. This is located at Exit 35 of the motorway AP-7.
