Cambrils Festivals: Important Events in the Calendar Year for Cambrils, Costa Daurada

Cambrils, like all towns in Spain, takes great pride in its local events. Whether you are interested in dance, music, children's activities or art you should find something of interest in Cambril's annual events calendar.

Cambrils Fairgrounds - First weekend in June

Each year in Cambrils, on the first weekend of June there is a festival known as the Cambrils Multi-Sector Exhibition. This exhibition acts as a showcase for agricultural, industrial and home equipment and accessories.

This event runs alongside the Club and Association Fair. This is a fair when all of Cambrils' local clubs and associations are provided with open spaces in Cambrils to participate in whatever way in which they see fit. This means that you can enjoy shows, art exhibitions and dances.

To celebrate the closing of the fair, on the Sunday evening there is a large fireworks display in town.


L'Eixample District Festival - June

This festival takes place throughout June and is specific to the area of L'Eixample in Cambrils. Throughout the festival there are a variety of free concerts and entertainment for children. Summer at El Pescador Park - weekdays in July

Throughout the month of July, from Monday to Friday the El Pescador Park (for the location see our Guide to Parks in Cambrils) offers a range of free activities for children. These include games, storytelling, arts and crafts and an open-air library. Art Market - Every Saturday in July, August and September

This market takes place every Saturday in July, August and September in Cambrils. There are stalls all down the Platja del Regueral boardwalk.

International Music Festival - August

In 2009 Cambrils played host to it's 35th annual International music festival. This is a music festival in Cambrils covering a whole range of musical styles including jazz, flamenco, opera, ballet, piano and gospel. The events take place in different venues throughout the town - the smaller venues holding about 200 people and the large venues holding around 600.

The festival programme varies from year to year and sees musicians coming from all over the world to Cambrils. Sardanes Gathering - Last Saturday of August (El Pescador Park)

Sardanes is a traditional type of Catalan dancing - one of which the Catalan people are very proud. It is seemingly slow but it involves very intricate footwork. For a full history of Sardana dancing, see our Guide to Catalan Cultural Dance.

On the last Sunday of August each year, you can go to watch displays of this dancing taking place in El Pescador Park (for the location see our Guide to Parks in Cambrils).
